St John Vianney & St Monica’s and St Cuthbert’s are Catholic parishes of the Diocese of Lancaster situated in the south of the seaside town of Blackpool in the northwest of England.
As Catholics we are Christians in Communion with the Pope, the successor of St Peter, and fully committed to following the teachings of Christ as contained in Scripture and in the living Tradition of the Church, handed down to us from the Apostles. We seek to live out these teachings to commit ourselves to a life of prayer and charity and to share with others the Good News of God’s salvation. We come together as a parish to worship Almighty God, to receive the Church’s sacraments and to build up the community of God’s faithful people.
Mindful that public Masses are now restored with our Covid measures in place, you are very welcome to join us for Mass, whatever your age, background or personal situation. You don’t even need to be a Catholic to attend our Masses or services with us. Just come with an openness in your heart. Our regular Mass times are here. You will need a face covering and to follow the instructions of the stewards – but we do look forward to welcoming you!
When you arrive at the church for the first time, please introduce yourself to one of the priests and to other parishioners.
If you’ve never joined us before and you’re considering coming, here’s what you might expect…
If you have any specific questions, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org but we do hope to meet you in person very soon,
Fr Daniel Etienne (Parochial Administrator)
& Fr Tim Sullivan
